Rockford Art Guild (RAG) is collaborating with Nicholas Conservatory for the third year with a new and exciting exhibit of more than 25 pieces of art. Nicholas Conservatory is located at 1354 N. Second Street, Rockford.
These combined exhibits of incredible orchids with a reception area filled with art to inspire all, will be on display Friday, February 24th through March 12th. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, February 25th, from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. “This event gives Rockford Art Guild’s artists an opportunity to share their many talents with the community. In addition, visitors will learn about the different art opportunities the Rockford Art Guild provides to individuals in the Rockford area,” stated Pam Parkinson, RAG President. In addition to the individual art pieces on display, there will be an incredible original, one of a kind, hand painted totes for sale during the February 25th opening reception.
The Rockford Art Guild (RAG) is a supportive and encouraging group of people who have a strong passion for the arts. Each member has opportunities to improve, explore, and challenge themselves in ways they would not find elsewhere. Guild members work together to increase the appreciation of art in the Rockford area. The goal is to provide education, growth, and show opportunities for our members, and for other artists in the community. Members work in a variety of media, including mosaic, beading, painting, pottery, sculpting, photography, woodworking, and more.
Art submitted and juried in can be dropped off at Nicholas Conservatory on Thursday, February 23rd, between 10:00 and 12:00. The show will be hung that day from 12:00-3:00.
Art must be picked up on March 14th between 10:00 and 1:00. Anyone who cannot pick up their art during these times should contact John Hantsch to make other arrangements
