Mission

The mission of the Rockford Art Guild (RAG) is to promote, exhibit, and preserve visual art, focusing on education and creative exploration.

About the Guild

In 1955, a group of 10 area artists formed the Rockford Amateur Artists, whose mission was to hone their expertise and expand community awareness of and exposure to the visual arts.

Rockford Art Guild (RAG), as it is now known, is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, governed by a board of directors selected by vote of the membership each year. The board is comprised of elected officers, including a President, Vice-president, Treasurer, Secretary, and appointed directors for Membership, Special Events, Show Coordinators, and additional directors as needed.  Current board members include:

RAG membership is $40 per year and open to artists of all levels and to those non-artists with an appreciation for the arts. We welcome student members ($20 per year).

RAG holds public meetings at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St at 6:30 pm the first Tuesday of each month.
